Jordan's dad, Michael, drove him to us and our RV just outside Richmond, VA. We then continued on to Williamsburg for three days for colonial discoveries. We utilized local bus service to transport us daily from the Anvil Campground, where Jordan loved the swimming pool,
to Colonial Williamsburg, to check out the over 250 year old buildings. Our favorite memory is when Jordan was appointed Governor, and took his rightful place a the head of the House of Burgesses. Take a close look at our photo to see him dwarfed by the furniture.
We did mazes, checked out the fire "truck", the local craftsman,
and even ate lots of colonial food.
We then headed to Jamestown for a day, where Jordan was being recruited to sail back to England for more settler supplies. He was excited to discover that he was 1/16 British.
Our last stop was at Pocahontas State Park for a few days of traditional camping. For the two days that we were here, we walked the 1/2 mile path to the water park. What fun with all of the water slides, the water dump buckets, and the huge 3.5 foot deep pool. It was tough to head back to the RV after all of this fun.
