A great time visiting friends

Good times, good food, and great friends.

We arrived in Avila Beach, California at our friends home on the central coast.  Visited Ray & Ann, our many time travel mates.  They've recently expanded their home to take even better advantage of their views. And we just couldn't get over how great the weather is.

During our days in Avila, we took a drive north along the Pacific coast. Stopped at the French Corner Bakery in Cambria and loved the cinnamon rolls, muffins, crumb cake, and assorted rolls.  Then on to the Elephant Seals at Hearst Beach, and a wine tasting and art gallery walk in Harmony [proudly announcing, "Population 18"].  Other days we biked south along the coast, and kayaked in the bay.

All great stuff!  

Time to travel

With a couple of  inches of snow, we drove to the Philadelphia airport....Hoping that our flight wouldn't be cancelled.  Not happening!  Other than a one hour delay, we were off  for Las Vegas.

Like clockwork....We arrived, picked up a rental car, spent a hotel night.  In the morning, drove to our RV to pick up clothes and stuff, and then off to the central coast of California.  Nice to drive in the bright sunshine, blue skys, and temperatures in the 60s.

It's time to continue our journey..........

What a great time at home, celebrating the holidays, and being with our kids and grandkids.  But now it's time to get moving..................

We spotted a Snowy Owl on our beach.  Did the owl know something? It's very unusual for these owls to fly down from the Arctic to New Jersey. mmmmm. There have been record cold temperatures here in the Northeast.

We're flying back to Las Vegas on Saturday, picking up a rental car and heading to the Central Coast of California to visit with friends for a week.  Then back to Las Vegas to pickup our motorhome and get back into our traveling mode.
