This Fall we're heading back out west. COVID will be in our thoughts as we plan for adventures while we stay safe! Our plans are to head first to Colorado, then zip over to Utah. Lots of hiking and biking are planned along our route.

Glass bottom viewing at Silver Springs

Another Florida attraction that has Morey bringing back memories.  We climbed into the custom built glass bottom boat and cruised the Silver River piloted by James, our captain.  He has been leading the tour for 45 years (does he remember Morey?).  The views, both under and above the river, are awesome.  Silver Springs spews out millions of gallons of pure water from a cave 45 feet under the surface, and the fish love it!

Camping here was a treat, not just counting the ice cream waffle cone afternoon delight.  We biked and hiked the many trails under bright blue sky days; although a couple of nights, temps went below freezing.  Silver Springs State Park is another park that has "saved" the Florida attraction and offers great camping facilities.

PS  Dug up some photos of when I was last in Silver Springs,  1959   ......................
I'm the guy second from the right.
