This Fall we're heading back out west. COVID will be in our thoughts as we plan for adventures while we stay safe! Our plans are to head first to Colorado, then zip over to Utah. Lots of hiking and biking are planned along our route.

More Rocks..............

We pulled into City of Rocks State Park in southern New Mexico.  Reminded Morey of when he was here in 1967 (yikes!, that's a long time ago) spending a couple of weeks at a summer aerospace seminar at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces.  Climbed "A" mountain then, and climbed Table Top mountain this time.  Heard the famous Astonomer, Prof Tombaugh speak -- he discovered the non-planet Pluto.

Back to City of Rocks.... A nice state park where you can camp among the Kneeling Nun Tuff rock boulders, formed 35 million years ago.  We, though, elected to take an electrical hookup site so we could watch TV?!.

This is a great place to watch the night sky, no light pollution out here.  In fact, all of the camp sites are labeled with astonomical names.  We're in site E07, Uranus.

And then there is biking and hiking, and just relaxing.

  1. Hi Morey. Just saw you at Elephant Butte. Just recently discovered the world of RV bloggers and you are the first we have spotted in a campground or on the road (at least that we know of). LOL

Although very windy, this is a great spot. Had a really nice walk today.

We are weekend warriors but dream of the day soon when we can full time. We recently started a blog
